Loughton Voluntary Care – Escorted Shopping
The Escorted Shopping scheme enables clients to do their own shopping and choose exactly what they want - including the bargains! It runs every Monday morning. There are volunteer escorts on the bus available to push a wheelchair, help with shopping and packing and carry shopping to the client’s door. There is no charge for this service, however donations are always welcome (suggested £7). Accessible.

Every Monday a minibus with hydraulic lift takes up to nine clients shopping. Clients are picked up from their homes from 9.15 am and return home by 1.30 pm. Currently, the supermarket visited isTesco in Barkingside which stoks clothing, household and other non food products..
After shopping we all meet in the cafeteria for a hot drink and maybe a snack. If you are interested in signing up, further details are available HERE
