If you are struggling with debt, we’re here to help you. We offer free, impartial debt advice tailored to your needs, whether over the phone or at various outreach locations. We will discuss your situation and help you decide how to manage your debts. We cannot, however, assist with business debts; please direct any enquiries of this nature to Business Debtline on 0800 1976026. Due to exceptional demand, the current response time is 10 working days.
We can
- Apply for Breathing Space, granting you 60 days free from creditor pressure while we work out a plan.
- Contact and negotiate with creditors on your behalf and assist in setting up affordable repayment options.
- Look at whether an insolvency solution is a good option for you. This could include a Debt Relief Order (DRO). Recent changes to the rules mean that applying for a DRO is now free and could be a suitable option for individuals with debts up to £50,000.
Our qualified DRO Intermediaries can handle the application process, ensuring you receive the best possible support.

Anyone that lives and or works within the Epping Forest District that is struggling to pay their bills.
Our Debt Adviser will contact you to discuss your needs. We will try to respond as soon as possible, but please bear in mind that this can take a few days during really busy times.
Our Debt Adviser is available by telephone Monday through Thursday from 0930 to 1630 and can also offer in-person appointments for those more vulnerable at our outreaches in Waltham Abbey and Epping Forest District Council Hub.
